Oh, Christmas Tree!

What fun we had going to the nursery to pick out our Christmas Tree. Mommy and Daddy did all the hard work, but I had to give my seal of approval before the final decision was made.

Once we got home, it was naptime for me. But when I awoke, what was I to see: A beautiful tree standing in my living room! I couldn't wait to help Mommy and Daddy decorate the tree. (Click here to see video.)

I think the final result was amazing. Although I still don't understand why all the really sparkly ornaments are at the top of the tree!

Ho! Ho! Oh, No!

Listen, I realize that Mommy did everything in her power to prepare me for this visit to Santa, but there's just something about the guy in the red suit that doesn't sit well with me. I think this picture speaks for itself. Better luck next year, Mommy!

Weekend In New England

Boston, here we come! And with those words we began the trek to Beantown to celebrate Mimi's birthday! With my new Big Bird shirt on and a bag full of my favorite toys and books, off we went to the city where Daddy went to college.

Once we got there, we all unpacked our bags. Daddy tried to help me with my toys, but since I knew exactly where I wanted everything, I had to explain to him that it was a one-person job.

Did you know that they have sharks in Boston? I guess I'm the only one who knows about this well-kept secret. But after my trip to the aquarium with Poppy and Jack, I kept telling everyone how much I loved the penguins and that I saw a shark and "I gonna catch it!" I'm not sure why, but ever since, Mommy keeps saying that we're going to have to rethink our trip to the beach next summer.

Next up was our horse and buggy ride through the financial district! I don't really know what that means, but I do know that it was really cold. But I didn't mind. Daddy wrapped me in a couple of blankets, and we all braved the weather. My horse's name was Frankie, and boy was he beautiful!

My cousin Jack liked the horses, too. He couldn't resist wishing this one a Merry Christmas!

I loved spending time with my aunts and uncles. Here I am with Aunt 'Tine by the Christmas tree in the lobby of our hotel. I kept asking when I could unwrap all my presents, but for some reason everyone kept changing the subject!

Happy Birthday, Mimi!

Here I am with all my cousins. Aren't they cute? Later on, they all came to our room to hang with me. Boy, did we have fun playing with the new Elefun game that Aunt Debbie and Uncle Brian gave me!

One last stroll through Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market. Daddy even bought me a cool new rubber duck covered in shamrocks!

Once we got back in the car, I settled in for the long ride with a good book. Or maybe I just settled in. Anyway, as I said to Mommy as she was putting me into my car seat: "I love Boston!"

Happy Bird-Day To Samantha!

Yup, that's right: Even on my second birthday, it's all about The Bird. I had such a great day. When I woke up this morning, Mommy and Daddy had a big surprise for me. Our whole living room had been transformed into Sesame Street, complete with Big Bird roller skating on the wall with Bert and Ernie! (I know! I couldn't believe it, either!)

There were so many balloons, I didn't know which one to look at first!

I wore a special birthday outfit, complete with birthday wings -- just like Abby Cadabby!

And Mommy put my hair up, just the way Daddy likes it!

The house was filled with the people I love, like Mimi and Poppy and Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt 'Tine and Jack, and Uncle Sal, Aunt Suzy and Jason and Karen and Paul!

And Mommy got me a special Sesame Street cake with all the characters on top!

It looked great and tasted even better!

Thank you, everybody, for making me feel so special!
